Need help to import Protel DXP pcb to Siwave 3.0

Hello all,

First of all, sorry for expalining in my poor english, but I do not know chinese , only a little english an spanish.

Seems that here are many "gurus" on Ansoft package in that forum. My problems is that I want to tranfer a Altium Protel DXP to Sivawe 3.0. I have been trying many things:
1) Converting Protel DXP to PADS Layout, and once here, from Pads Layout generate the ASCII files in order to import them to AnsoftLinks (v3 and v4); but AnsoftLinks always complains with an I/O error or missing *.hkp file 靠??.
2) I have tried the same way directly from Siwave 3.0 without passing through AnsoftLinks, and finally the same result arises...

Does anybody know all the steps to import a Protel DXP pcb to Siwave?, can you help me in any way, please?

I know the the way to import Protel DXP pcb to Siwave 3.0.If having time， I will  describe it in
detail。Here I simply tell the way：
First , convert the protel schematic into capture DSN format using Protel DXP.
Second,convet the protel lib into allegro format.
Third,import the protel netlist into allegro format.
fourth,convert the protel picK&place into allegro placement file.
fifth, import the protel pcb into allegro.Convert it.
sixth,Save the allegro file and import it into ansoftlinks.
Seven,import the file into siwave,then simulate it.

frogfrog, I will try this way, but I'm not sure I will be able to do it...It would be nice if you could describe it in more detail.

I tried that way and it worked:
1) convert Protel DXP pcb to Mentos PADS pcb format via "alt2pads.exe" (you can find it in that forum)
2) from Mentor PADS, open the pcb file converted and export it to ascii format.
3) from siwave3.5, import the previous ascii file, and it would be translated to .anf file automatically and you can work with it on siwave

Previously,I introduce a way from protel ->protel dxp ->cadence allegro->ansoft links ->siwave, it is a llitle complex.

Here,you supply another way to translate it:
protel->PADS->siwave,it is wonderful  and simlplier way to translate it.
But I take thought for directly translating it into PADS without lib .I afraid it would have some problem in simulating under siwave.

I hope hearing you doing it succesfully by this way,also I expect you would sharing this way with us.

I can asure that it is possible to import the PCB to siwave in the way I described before (the only problem remains in some pcb polygon planes defined on Protel that are not correctly translated to PADS....I'm currently working on that), and there's no problem to simulate the translated PCB on siwave.

If there's anyone needing a manual to do it I think i could do some screenshots. At same time, if there's anybody hoping to translate a Protel pcb to be able to use it with Siwave I offer myself to translate it or guide you in order to do it.

This weekend I hope I will be able to fix the planes translation problem I mentioned before.

PD: The problem I had with planes remains till now!!...I'm figthing against it!

I have also the same problem with protel tanslating to PADS.
The layout is missing when I translate.
Is there any solution?
