JOB TITLE:                                Drives Application & Support Engineer

Dept.:                                                              Customer Service Dept.

IMMEDIATE SUPERVISOR:                Customer Service Manager

SUMMARY OF POSITION:                
This is a drives technical support position to provide all related technical support on drive products.

Location:                                Songjiang, Shanghai

DUTIES OF POSITION:

DUTIES OF POSITION        % OF TIME SPENT
1.        Provide phone support to customers requiring technical assistance with drive products (i.e. specifying, startup, programming, troubleshooting, etc).            20%
2.        Provide training to distributors, OEM’s, customers, etc on VS Drives products.           20%
3.        Work closely with Drives Support Team in US on identifying and resolving potential drives issues in the field (i.e. software, hardware, etc).           20%
4.        Other support functions to include special projects to support sales of VS Drives product lines.           20%
5.        Customer visits to develop and close sale for VS Drives products.            20%

QUALIFICATIONS:
        Necessary Qualifications        Desirable Qualifications       
EDUCATION        •        4-year BS degree or above in Electrical /Mechanical Engineering (BSEE, BSME, BSET, BSCE).        •        Special course/project on drives.       
KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS        •        Experience in set up and programming of AC induction drives.
•        Ability to evaluate applications and select proper components.        •               
EXPERIENCE        •        Minimum of 5 years application experience with electronic drives.
•        Minimum of 2 years experience in sales support function and/or application engineering capacity.        •        Hand on experience
